The Mentorship Program

Ninety Days. One Mentor. A Career That Lasts.

Graduation is not the finish line at Wayfinder — it is the starting line. Every graduate enters a dedicated 90-day mentorship with a seasoned travel advisor who has built the kind of practice you are working toward.

Why Mentorship

Knowledge Gets You Started. Mentorship Gets You There.

The travel industry rewards advisors who can build trust, navigate complexity, and deliver exceptional client experiences. Those skills are not learned from a curriculum alone — they are developed through practice, honest feedback, and the guidance of someone who has already walked the path you are on.

That is why mentorship is not an add-on at Wayfinder. It is the foundation of everything we do. We believe that the most important thing we can give a new travel advisor is not more information — it is a relationship with someone who genuinely wants them to succeed.

How It Works

A Structured 90-Day Journey.

Your mentorship is not a casual check-in. It is a structured, intentional program designed to take you from graduation to a fully operating travel advisory practice in 90 days.

01

Getting Grounded

Days 1–30: Foundation

Your first month is about orientation and momentum. You and your mentor will review your launch plan, set your 90-day goals, and begin working through your first real client scenarios together. You will have weekly one-on-one sessions and access to your mentor between calls.

02

Building Your Practice

Days 31–60: Momentum

In month two, the focus shifts to execution. You are booking real travel, navigating real client conversations, and building the habits that will define your practice. Your mentor is there to debrief wins, work through challenges, and help you refine your approach in real time.

03

Finding Your Voice

Days 61–90: Confidence

By month three, you are operating with increasing independence. Your mentor helps you consolidate what you have learned, identify your strengths, and build the confidence that comes from knowing you have done this — and done it well. Graduation from mentorship is a milestone worth celebrating.

Your Mentor

Not a Manager. A Guide.

Every Wayfinder mentor is a working travel advisor with years of experience building and running a successful practice. They are not assigned to you because they have availability — they are paired with you because their expertise, specialty, and approach align with where you are headed.

Your mentor has navigated the same challenges you will face. They know what it feels like to book a first client, handle a complicated itinerary, and build a business from scratch. That lived experience is what makes the relationship so valuable.

The Community

The Relationships Don't End at 90 Days.

Mentorship is the beginning of your relationship with the Wayfinder community — not the end of it. When your 90-day program concludes, you become part of an ongoing network of Wayfinder graduates and Wand & Compass advisors who support, collaborate with, and cheer for each other.

This community is one of the most valuable things we offer. Travel is a relationship business, and the relationships you build within the Wayfinder network will open doors, provide support, and make the work more meaningful for years to come.

  • Private graduate community and group channels
  • Ongoing access to Wayfinder resources and training
  • Collaboration opportunities with fellow advisors
  • Continued connection to the Wand & Compass Travel network

Graduate Voices

What Mentorship Actually Feels Like.

My mentor didn't just answer my questions — she helped me figure out the right questions to ask. That changed everything about how I approach my clients.

I had a complicated booking situation in my second month and I genuinely didn't know what to do. One call with my mentor and I had a clear path forward. That's the value of this program.
